New trust planning tools equip advisors with the capability to effectively strategize and plan for High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth Clients
July 05, 2024 – Austin, TX – Today, Voyant, a global provider of SaaS-based wealth management, wellness and client digital engagement solutions, announced the release of new trust tools and advanced feature toggles. Alongside the new trust models, the toggles are designed to model advanced trust functionality by allowing advisors to manually change the settings of both revocable and irrevocable trusts.
The introduction of the new trust models allows advisors to show clients the impact of various advanced trust types, including SLATs, SLANTS, APTs, Spendthrifts, QTIPs, Minor’s Trusts, Credit Shelter Trusts, and QDOTs. These build on Voyant’s previous generic irrevocable and revocable trust types.
"With our new trust tools, advisors can now model advanced trust types and customize trust set-ups with an unprecedented flexibility," said David Kaufman, CEO of Voyant. "This functionality is a game-changer for advisors working with High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients."
With the introduction of the new toggles, advisors will be able to count trusts towards a yearly and lifetime gifting allowance, model grantor taxes, and show an enhanced cost basis and step-up for their trust types. The purpose of these toggles is to allow trust set-up to be as flexible and modular as possible, helping advisors to better serve their high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
“These tools empower advisors working with High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients to provide more tailored, sophisticated advice," said Kaufman. “It’s about being able to demonstrate the value of their financial advice and show the ‘what-if’s’ that make up their clients’ bigger financial picture.”
